Blink and you'll miss it

Following a rather uneventful Final Four - what the hell happened there anyway? Thank you and good bye George Mason. I decided to check-in with my beloved Colorado Rockies and see how they fared on Opening Day 2006. Much to my surprise they pulled out the W, on the road and against a division foe nonetheless! 1-0 starts aren't that unusual for Colorado, but doing it away from the friendly confines of Coors field is.

The best part about the win is the fact it's the one time all year they sit atop the standings, when done in alphabetical order. Don't believe me? Here's a screenshot from Yahoo! standings.

We'll see how this holds up as the year goes on. Batter up!
